Remember Sandy Hook today not by taking a moment of silence
but by taking a moment to make a phone call or send an email!

Honor With Action!

Five years ago today, 20 elementary school children were massacred at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Are you going to a memorial? Are you observing a moment of silent? Are you offering your thoughts and prayers to the families and community still reeling with loss?

Here’s our suggestion on what you can do to remember Sandy Hook.

Make a phone call! Make many phone calls! Make them again and again! Call your legislators, call your family, call your friends, call your neighbors! Make sure they all call too! Because Congress continues to pass the very gun laws that make a massacre like Sandy Hook more likely. Because Congress continues to undermine the very gun laws that help keep us safe.

Perhaps you will stop reading here because you’ve read it before and you have made your calls. But please, it’s important to call again!

We need you to be part of our +5 Movement and call or email 5 of your friends and family with information that will empower them to prevent gun violence! We need you and 5 of your friends to call your Senators to tell them:

Vote NO on National Concealed Carry Reciprocity!

Remember — Twelve states do not require any permit to carry hidden, loaded guns within their state. Some states allow felons to carry concealed weapons. If National Concealed Carry Reciprocity passes, people who would not qualify to carry in states with strong regulations could purchase a gun in a state with few or no regulations and then legally carry in EVERY STATE, ignoring a state’s own gun laws! That is why many police officers, police chiefs and sheriffs across the nation oppose this legislation.

You can call the Congressional switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask for your Senators to be connected to their office

Need help on what to say or write?

I am taking action to honor the 20 children who died at Sandy Hook! I want you to take action too. I want you to take action to STOP the National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act! VOTE NO on this dangerous legislation that will allow a person who can carry a concealed firearm in one state to carry it in every state, legally ignore a state’s gun laws, and endangers all our communities!

Please remember Sandy Hook today not by taking a moment of silence
but by taking a moment to make a phone call or send an email!
