Killed by gun February 19, 2000, at age 27

All her life, Jennifer wanted to be a doctor. She got sidetracked for a while after high school and thought that at 27 she was too old to start medical school. So, instead, she applied to a nursing program. Two weeks after she was killed, the letter came that she had been accepted.

My daughter had a beautiful smile and a joyful laugh. This loss has changed the lives of everyone in our family, including her brothers, Erik and Benjamin, who are devastated. I most miss chatting with her about cats and cooking and spiritual things.

Jennifer was shot six times by her boyfriend as she was running from him. Then he killed himself. They lived in Lake Forest, CA, where it’s supposed to be safe. Where there are guns, no one is safe.
