Killed by gun March 9, 2001 at age 19

Randy was born on March 11, 1981 and left our world to be with the Lord just 3 days before his 20th birthday. Randy has a son who is now 3 years old and without a father. His name is Nathan and he looks just like the father he will never know. Randy was a fun child and very smart: he was singing his ABCs by the time he was 17 months old and he was a 4.0 student. Unfortunately, as Randy got older, he joined a gang at the young age of 16. When he realized it wasn’t for him, he left the gang. Randy was in JobCorps working toward his high school diploma and cleaning our parks when he was killed. He wanted to make a better life for him and his child. His interests were drawing and music. I saw my son on Wednesday. He sat next to me on the couch and kissed me on the cheek and told me he was doing alright. Friday morning, they found my son on the freeway. We miss Randy dearly. He left behind his Mom, Grandma, sister, brother, son and loving fiance, Amanda.
