Alvarez Escalante Wynn was born on April 22, 1975. At age 12, Alvarez joined Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church and was also a member of the Little Jerome Fisher Choir.
Alvarez began his education at Our Lady of Victory Elementary School and later graduated from Dominguez High School. He attended Cerritos College and excelled in football. At age 23, Alvarez moved to Fortuna, California and enrolled in the California Conservation Corps, where he trained to become a fire fighter, a goal he was determined to achieve.
Alvarez loved bowling, swimming, collecting sports cards, fishing, and singing. I will be with him always. My son was loved so much by friends and family.
