Rodolfo Gutierrez

2019-01-06T18:11:11-08:00

Rodolfo Gutierrez was the father of four. He provided everything that he could to his family and never let them struggle. He made his dreams come true when he owned his own businesses and began to get rewarded for his success by receiving the life that he struggled to create. His life was cut short when a gun man took his life in front of his younger daughter on Halloween night. I want to take this time to say if you love someone, cherish every moment you have with them. Little things matter. Rodolfo will always be missed, and his memory will always be kept alive by several others.

Killed by gun August 14, 1991 at age 20

My son was my sunshine. He was born on August 14, 1971. As a baby he had golden brown hair and was delightful, playful, energetic baby. He loved his car and his stereo equipment, as a teenager he loved to play his music while cruising in his car. He was a leader, all his friends looked up to him.   His best friends are Ernie Quiroz and Richard Getler among others. My son was very close to me and was always making me happy. He worked at San Pedro Boat Works as a welder. “oldies” music made him happy.

Killed by gun August 26, 1998, at age 22

Robert, my son, was a very good, young man. Robert loved life–the most important part was his two little girls and Christina, his girlfriend. He spent all his extra time with them. Robert always loved playing with, feeding, and bathing his little girls. He never left home without one of them. Everyone on the block knew Robert as “the man with the two little girls” –that’s what the people who did not know his name called him. Robert also loved spending time at family get-togethers and spending time with his dad. He also loved football-the 49ers were his team.

He was a good and honest son of whom I am very proud. I love him and miss him with all my heart, as do all the family. Robert will be forever in our hearts.

Henry Garcia Jr.

Killed by gun November 20, 1999, at age 28

Henry was born on May 29, 1971 to his proud parents Henry and Dolores Garcia, in the city of Los Angeles. He was the eldest of three brothers, himself, Victor, and Ruben. He was the father of two beautiful children, Desiree and Angel Garcia, and husband to Natalie Garcia.

When he was 28, someone that had no regard for life murdered him, leaving his legacy in an uproar. His life was cut short, leaving his parents without a son, brothers without a brother, children without a father, wife without a husband. Whoever committed this crime never took into consideration that taking one life would affect so many with his absence. That one bullet took one life, but that pain and suffering to his family united in love has become a force much stronger than the evil that was committed against him.
Love conquers all evil.

Killed by gun November 10, 1998, at age 2

Enrique was a happy child who liked to play with his Uncle Carlos. He liked to go to his grandmom’s house; he liked to see movies; the best movie was “Toy Story.” He could see that movie 5 times a day.

The last time he was in my arms, he was happy, and he wanted to go to the restaurant with my mom, LuLu Rebeca. He was all happy, telling my neighbor that he was ready to go. That day, my baby died. It will be there forever.

My baby liked to ride bikes, liked to eat McDonald’s, liked to eat chocolate, liked to get in the swimming pool, liked turtles, birds. That will always be with me all my life.

God will help me go through all this.
