Killed by gun July 17, 1999, at age 2

Victoria was born on July 22, 1996 at Cedar Sinai Hospital. She was a very special little girl, very bright and happy. I called her ‘Mama’ because she would tell my other three children, all boys, what to do. She loved to dress up and model for her dad and I. Victoria was in church every Sunday. She would play the tambourine and sing, “Jesus is on the main line; tell him what you want.” She would greet everyone with a hug.

She loved school even though she never started. She rode in the car with me every morning to take her big brother Jerome to school, and she would take her coat off as if she was staying at school. I miss her and love her; no words can express it. She was loved by many and touched a great number of other lives, at the age of two. We love her.

Killed by gun December 21, 1998, at age 40

Louis John Wooldridge, Jr. was born January 30, 1959. A very fun-loving, hard-working, outgoing kind of guy, he was a man that would yield his feelings in order to help out his fellow man, whether he knew you or not. Louis would make you feel special. That’s why he had so many friends, young and old. Loved and liked by many, he touched so many lives with his encouraging words of wisdom. A lot of his extra time was spent with not only his two young sons but other children who needed guidance and direction. He also loved to lift weights, which was encouraging to the teens as well as the smaller kids.

Today is a day to rejoice because you have gone to be with our Father in Heaven.

Killed by gun August 29, 1998, at age 18

Jason was a good boy, always respectful to others. I raised him, because his mother had cancer and died when he was nine. He has an older brother and younger sister. His main interest was skating; he loved to go to the skating rink. He was 18 years old when he died, he would have been 19 the next month, September 25, 1998. He had a loving family, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a girlfriend who was pregnant. She gave birth to a baby girl the day after his birthday.

We miss him very much. He may have been my grandson, but he was more like a young son to me. We all miss his smile and his love for life. The only gang he belonged to was his family.

Anthony graduated from Hamilton High School and was a Sales Associate for Macy’s Department Stores. His hobbies included mostly basketball and fashion and his favorite team was the LA Lakers. He was an outgoing and intelligent young man on his pathway to pursuing his goal of going to college, but that chance was taken from him before he could begin to find his place in life. Anthony played football for Cheviot Hills Park and enjoyed any outgoing sport activity. He was a well-known young man within his community and was loved by everyone he crossed paths with. In 1994, Anthony was on the front page of the Los Angeles Times for “Lessons in Diversity”, as he sat in his classroom discussing the subject. Anthony was truly a unique individual who will always be loved and never be forgotten.

Killed by gun June 23, 2001 at age 21

Dominique was a very smart and bright young man. At a very early age, he had a positive but realistic look on life. He loved to read, play basketball and travel. He was also valedictorian of his class. He was very protective of his family, especially the women. He always encouraged his younger siblings. Dominique’s life was taken from him at an early age. I can proudly say that he did live a full life, and he was so loved by everyone. God has his soul, we have his memory. I love you.
