Killed by gun December 13, 1998, at age 16

My son did work for the summer in the library of Los Angeles and in the parks for the City of LA. His hobbies were music, horseback riding and bowling. He also put together two songs of him rapping.

Richard had an effect on everyone’s life that he knew. Richard was always smiling and made everyone else around him smile, too. Richard was a wonderful person to be around and have fun with.

Now that my son in gone, it has taken away a big part from those who loved him. But Richard’s charm will never be forgotten.

Killed by gun August 20, 1998, at age 20

Claudia Yanez was born on November 27, 1977. She was one of five brothers and sisters. She attended Fourth Street Elementary School and Montebello High School, in Montebello, CA. Claudia was always a bright student. While attending and after graduating from high school, Claudia was employed as a caretaker for mentally challenged children. She was patient with the children that she cared for. After leaving this employment to continue her education at Pasadena City College, she was employed at a local radio station as a receptionist.

Claudia’s hobbies included dancing, horseback riding, and listening to music. She liked to go on weekend trips with her family and ride her brother’s jet skis.

Claudia touched the lives of everyone that she surrounded herself with in a positive way. Claudia was a very charismatic, thoughtful and loving person. She always had something positive and kind to say to the people around her. She was a beautiful person inside and out. The void that her senseless death has left in the heart of her family and friends will never be filled. Life without Claudia will never be the same.
