On June 1st, we will gather at L.A. City Hall where the City Council will officially declare June 2nd to be Gun Violence Awareness Day in Los Angeles.
On Thursday, June 2nd, join Women Against Gun Violence and a broad-based coalition of organizations, community members and activists across the United States that believe we can all do more to save American lives from gun violence.
Do two simple things:
1. Wear something orange in memory of all gun violence victims. It can be a t-shirt, pin, tie or head-to-toe blaze orange regalia. Take a selfie, and share it online with the hashtag #wearingorange or email your selfie to wagv@wagv.org and we’ll share it for you!

2. Commit to:
- Honor the lives stolen from us every day by gun violence
- Vote for candidates who commit to doing everything they can to keep firearms out of the wrong hands
- Be responsible gun owners — lock up your guns and store them safely and securely away from children
