Use These Tools To Make Activism Both Easy and Effective!

I always say that as long as I have a dime, a glue gun, and a shoe, I can pretty much fix anything. I have no need for a hammer or a flat head or phillips screwdriver. There isn’t a parent I know that hasn’t used the bottom of a t-shirt instead of Kleenex, scotch tape instead of needle and thread, spit instead of water, and a kiss instead of a bandage. We all have a little bit of MacGyver in us when it comes to navigating the obstacles that impact our daily lives.

Using the right tool at the moment may not seem easier but often has a more long-lasting effect. So, today Women Against Gun Violence offers you some real tools that will help you in your efforts to make your voice heard and the world a better place!

WEBSITES THAT HELP YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!

Here are two great websites — besides our own, of course — that you should visit!

To find out when and where your representative is holding a townhall — where you can show up and speak out to your legislator, check out Town Hall Project

To find your representatives, their phone numbers, multiple issues and scripts you can use so that calling is quick and easy, check out 5calls.org. You can also sign up with 5calls and they will send you weekly notices with issues that may interest you and calls to action that are time-sensitive.

A GREAT WAY TO SAVE YOUR LEGISLATORS’ PHONE NUMBERS TO YOUR CELL PHONE!

Text your US postal zip code to (520) 200-2223 and get a text back with both your state and federal legislative representative phone numbers. This is a huge time saver!
