Killed by gun June 7, 1999, at age 20
Teresa Del Rio was 20 years old when she became the third victim of a shooter for a gang in Los Angeles. She was driving her car and was shot through her car door.
Teresa was a Glendale Community College student and declared pre-law as her major. She played the piano, danced with a ballet folklorico Mexican group, and sang in the Glendale Lutheran Children’s Choir. She worked as an extra in television and motion pictures. Her credits included “The New Munsters” television series; a music video for “The Faculty”; “Terminator II”; “American Me”; and “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me.”
Teresa traveled with her parents yearly to different countries in Europe. By 16, Teresa had visited most of the leading museums in Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the United States. She had completed a 16-week course in Computer Science and planned to attend UCLA or San Diego State University. She wanted to one day get married and have three children.
